Anxiety is one of the main complaints my clients come to me with. Sometimes they have stress in their lives that causes this anxiety, and other times its totally unexplained. Unfortunately, anxiety is not something you typically “grow out of” or “get over”, in fact it becomes more deeply ingrained into your life that it can feel more like a personality trait rather than a condition. Often times anxiety gets ignored for this very reason because people think that its “just who I am” or “it runs in the family”, this is no excuse not to seek help for anxiety because it is something that can be healed. Anxiety is a state of fear that triggers the fight/flight/freeze response in the brain, and over time with the continued stress of daily life, this anxiety can be triggered by the most minor of inconveniences. The reason for this is because your brain has created neural pathways to anxiety, and once these are created it is hard to remove yourself from this pattern. Without dealing with the root cause of anxiety it can be difficult to clear the pattern, however with tools like EFT Tapping and The Emotion Code you can change the neural pathways in the brain and rewire them for peace and calm.
